Zoe Saldana ( b. 19 July 1978 ) is an American dancer and actress. She has appeared in live action stage theater, television and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
Saldana is well known for her love of accepting roles as strong and confident women and is best known for her roles as Neytiri in the sci-fi blockbuster film Avatar; the bridge communications officer Nyota Uhura in the rebooted Star Trek film series; and as Gamora, the adopted daughter of the Mad Titan Thanos in the MCU Franchise.
