Young Justice is an American produced action-adventure superhero animated cartoon TV series with Jesse McCartney, Nolan North, Danica McKellar contributing as the primary voice actors. The series focuses on the titular younger set of superheroes of the popular DC Comics and was critically acclaimed by both audiences and critics alike and won several awards during its series run and launched a video game and a comic book series based on the TV series. The series was retitled as Young Justice: Invasion during its second season's story arc.

However, a large portion of the funding for production was derived from Mattel which was producing a toyline based on the TV series. Poor sales caused the company to pull the toyline and thus the funding for the TV series resulting its cancellation despite numerous petitions from fans after two seasons.

After numerous years of continued pleas by fans however to revive the series; a third season, Young Justice: Outsiders was released with a number of former cast members returning to reprise their characters as part of DC Comics' new digital service, DC Universe in 2019. A fourth season is set to debut on HBO Max.
