The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was a short-lived action-adventure American produced TV series that was adapted from the characters based and created from the Indiana Jones Film Franchise by George Lucas.
During the filming of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade; a brief scene hints about Jones' childhood resulting in Lucas developing the idea of an ongoing TV series revolving around Indiana's adventures while growing up. Despite winning several Emmy awards, the series was less than popular with audiences and was ultimately cancelled. Nevertheless, four made-for-TV movies based on the series were created. This series and the TV films have undergone extensive re-editing and has been repackaged and re-released as The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones in a more chronological format as well.
