Val Kilmer ( b. 31 August 1959 ) is an American actor, producer, and director. He has appeared in live action stage theater, television, and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
Kilmer is well known for his starring roles in Real Genius; Willow; Tombstone; and The Ghost and the Darkness. He further gained critical acclaim for his portrayal as Jim Morrison in the biopic The Doors.
However his most iconic role is Iceman, the antagonistic rival to Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in the 1986 blockbuster film Top Gun and would on to reprise his role in the 2022 sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.
