Set sail for adventure on the high seas! The world of Mer is in grave deadly danger from the Dark Water oozing from the planet's core that threatens to devour everything that it touches. But there is hope, the thirteen jewels of Rule which have the power to purge the Dark Water. A group of adventurers and would-be heroes seek to claim them to save Mer itself while a greedy, opportunistic group of pirates seek to claim the jewels for themselves.
The Pirates of Dark Water was a short-lived American produced fantasy action-adventure animated cartoon TV series with George Newbern, Jodi Benson, Hector Elizondo, Brock Peters, and Frank Welker contributing as the primary voice actors. Although highly regarded by critics for its serious, plot-driven storytelling; the series was abruptly cancelled with the search for the treasures of Rule unfinished.
