Owen Wilson ( b. 18 November 1968 ) is an American screenwriter, producer, and actor. He has appeared in live action television and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
Wilson is regarded as a member of the "Frat Pack" which consists of popular comedic actors including his younger brother Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Vince Vaughn. He also has had a long friendship and collaborations with director and filmmaker Wes Anderson whom he was college roommates with at the University of Texas at Austin. Wilson and his brother Luke have both co-starred in a number of Anderson's film projects over the years.
Wilson is best known as the voice actor for the animated race car Lightning McQueen in the popular Cars Franchise.
