Overview[]
Luke Hobbs is a Diplomatic Security Service Agent who was once assigned to arrest Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner. Hobbs however found himself forced to ally with Toretto and his crew on occasion.
In the 2011 film Fast Five, he is portrayed by Dwayne Johnson who has gone on to reprise his role several times in the Fast & the Furious Franchise.

- Vin Diesel originally had a "gruff and older man" in mind when Luke Hobbs was created and Tommy Lee Jones was originally his choice for the role. However Diesel happened to read a Facebook comment from a fan that wanted to see Dominic Toretto fight "The Rock" and decided to offer the role to Dwayne Johnson instead.
