Iron Man was an American produced action-adventure superhero animated cartoon TV series with Robert Hays, John Reilly, and Jim Cummings contributing as the primary voice actors.
The series was an adaptation of the popular Marvel Comics Iron Man Franchise and was paired with the Fantastic Four cartoon TV series for syndication as "The Marvel Action Hour". The series also had several crossover cameo appearances with The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man cartoon series concurrently running at the time.
The first season was heavily criticized for its campy tone, dismal voice actors, and poor storylines not to mention a primitive CGI sequence where Tony Stark dons his armor. Marvel Comics shifted animation studios for the second season and performed a major overhaul in the more mature storylines which caused numerous viewers to praise the changes as well as to whether or not it was even the same cartoon series. Nevertheless, the series continued to suffer low ratings and ultimately resulted in its cancellation.
