Helen Mirren ( b. 26 July 1945 ) is an English actress, director, and producer. She was a classic stage thespian who transitioned into live action television and cinematic roles; as well as voice acting performances.
Mirren is highly regarded as one of the finest actress in the world and is noteworthy career spanning over 60 years. She has been a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and had performances in both the West End and Broadway. Among her various accolades and awards include winning five Emmys, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes, an Academy Award, an Oliver Award, and a Tony Award.
She is most well known for her film roles in The Queen and Hitchcock; and for her extended role as DCI Jane Tennison in the Prime Suspect TV series.
