Harrison Ford ( b. 13 July 1942 ) is an American actor, producer, and environmental conservationist. He has appeared in live action stage theater, television and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
Ford is widely regarded as a major pop culture icon and Hollywood leading man for decades with some of the highest grossing films in history. He is best known for a number of iconic roles such as his portrayal as the part-time smuggler and Rebellion hero and all-around scoundrel Han Solo in the Star Wars Franchise and the globe trotting archeologist Indiana Jones from the Indiana Jones Franchise. He has portrayed these roles in a number of film sequels for decades.
He is also renowned for his performances in a number of other high profile blockbuster films over the course of his extended career from Blade Runner; Witness; Working Girl; Presumed Innocent; Regarding Henry; The Fugitive; Clear and Present Danger; Air Force One; and What Lies Beneath.
