Plot[]
Arrogant and egocentric weatherman Phil Connors believes that his enormous talents are being wasted at a small time TV station. He is further insulted that he has to travel to Punxsutawney, Philadelphia because of the annual Groundhog Day event. Phil finds it demeaning that the hicks and boobs would rather listen to an "overgrown rat" conduct a faked weather prognostication rather than his own learned training and insight on Groundhog Day.
It is the most demeaning day of his life ... until he finds himself stuck living on Groundhog Day over and over and over again. And become determined to get this one day "right".
