Overview[]

Get Smart is a 2008 American produced action-comedy espionage film starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, Dwayne Johnson, and Terence Stamp.  It was directed by Peter Segal and is an modernized updated version of Mel Brook's original spy satire Get Smart TV series that ran from 1965 to 1970 and launched the Get Smart Franchise. The 2008 Get Smart film also had a spin-off special short Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control that featured several of the supporting characters of the film itself with clips of the movie itself.

Agent Maxwell Smart is a top rated analyst for the super-secret intelligence agency known as CONTROL. But Smart longs to be a real field agent instead of stuck behind a desk. He finally gets his chance when the terrorist organization KAOS steals CONTROL's agents files.  With their regular field agents exposed and compromised, only one lone CONTROL asset, Agent 99 remains.  But she's going to need help.  Desperate and without any one else to turn to, CONTROL has no other choice ... but to Get Smart!

Selected to become Agent 99's partner and to save the world from KAOS; Maxwell Smart is living his dream ... and loving every single minute of it.  But with CONTROL and Agent 99 handicapped with Smart's blundering clumsiness, who is going save the world from Max?
