Frank Welker ( b. 12 March 1946 ) is an American comedian, impressionist, and actor. He has appeared in live action television and cinematic roles; but is most well known for his voice acting performances.

Welker is regarded as one of the most prolific voice actors in history with a career spanning over 50 years with a number of iconic roles from movies, television series, and video games. He is credited with voice roles in over 860 works during the course of his lengthy career.

His impressive body of work include minor cameo voices to major characters from a wide range of series from the Jetsons; the Transformers; the long-running Simpsons; and Futurama among others. He is however best known for being the original voice actor for Fred Jones from the Scooby-Doo Franchise and has reprised his role numerous times throughout the various Scooby-Doo cartoon series and films. His extensive career has earned him numerous accolades and received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award in 2016.
