In the 2001 film, The Fast and the Furious, he is portrayed by Vin Diesel and it was the success and his performance in this film which is credited with making him a major star. Since then, he has reprised his role of Dominic Toretto throughout multiple films in The Fast and the Furious Franchise and is regarded, along with his co-star Paul Walker for it's continuing enduring success.
