David Schwimmer ( b. 2 November 1966 ) is an American actor, producer, and director. He has appeared in live action stage and Broadway theater, television, and cinematic roles; and voice acting performances.
Schwimmer is best known for his extended role as the goofy Ross Geller, one of the main cast members on the hugely popular and highly acclaimed TV sitcom series Friends which earned him international fame and recognition. Schwimmer also won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performances as Ross.
