The Shadow War is over but their revenge lives on!
Their faithful and fanatical servants, the Drakh are out for revenge against the Interstellar Alliance for exiling their masters, the Shadows to the Outer Rim. To punish them, they have infected the planet Earth with an ancient viral weapon of mass destruction. Earth is under quarantine as every living person, every living thing, and organism is slowly dying under this terrible infectious plague. Earth's only hope lies in a band of scientists and soldiers on the Excalibur, the Interstellar Alliance's newest, fastest, and most advanced starship who are on a crusade to try and locate a cure to the plague somewhere in the farthest reaches of the universe.
It was prophesied that King Arthur and his sword, Excalibur would return in humanity's darkest hour to save us. That time is now.
Crusade was a very brief American produced sci-fi adventure TV series starring Gary Cole, Tracy Scoggins, Daniel Dae Kim, David Allen Brooks, Peter Woodward, Marjean Holden, and Carrie Dobro.
The series was a spin-off of the Babylon 5 TV series and films; it was a direct sequel to the made-for-TV film, Babylon 5: A Call to Arms.
It was intended to be another five-year long TV series like its popular parent series. However Crusade was abruptly cancelled before it was even broadcast leaving the first season unfinished. It did inspire another attempt at a spin-off, Babylon 5: Legend of the Rangers which failed as well.
