Overview[]
A 2000 fantasy-comedy remake film of the original Bedazzled (1967). Like the original, this film is based on the Faustian Legend of an unhappy man being proffered a deal by the Devil in exchange for his soul. This remake featured Elizabeth Hurley and Brendan Fraser in the roles originally portrayed by Peter Cook and Dudley Moore respectively.
Plot[]
Hapless dweeb Elliot Richards is a total nonentity at his workplace, actively avoided by his coworkers, doesn't have any friends, and would do anything just to talk to his crush, the lovely Alison Gardner.
And the beautifully seductive Devil decides to take him up on his offer; proffering Elliot the deal of his lifetime.
She will give him seven wishes in exchange for his soul. Surely one of his wishes will give him a great life and the love of Alison! Or will it?
Because as Elliot is about to learn, the Devil doesn't play fair and he doesn't have a chance in Hell to win.
