Back to the Future is a 1985 American produced science fiction/comedy adventure film starring Michael J. Fox and is regarded as one of his most notable and famous roles. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis.
A huge financial and critical success, the film launched the entire Back to the Future Franchise which consists of several sequel films, an animated cartoon series, several video games, and even a theme park ride. The film won a number of Academy Awards plus a Saturn and Hugo Award and has been ranked as one of the greatest films of all time and was subsequently selected for preservation by the National Film Registry.
Marty McFly has always had a problem with time. He was always late for everything. But one night, he ends up late ... by about 30 or so years thanks to a time machine invented by his mad scientist friend Doc Brown!
Stranded in 1955, Marty inadvertently ends up changing the past and derailing his teenage parents' meeting and falling in love. Now he's in a race against time itself, he's got one week to be the right spot at the exact time in order to make the trip back to the future ... but if he doesn't figure out a way to fix things with his parents; he won't have a future to get back to!
And Marty thought he had problems with time before...
