Overview[]
One hundred years ago, the Four Nations of the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads lived in harmony with their powerful elemental magics. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked, threatening to enslave the other Nations. Only the Avatar, the living embodiment of the four elements could stop them. But when they needed him the most ... he vanished and so the war has raged for a hundred years.
A young boy, the last Airbender however holds the key to restoring balance to the world. For he is the new Avatar and it is his destiny to master the four elements and bring back peace to the world!
Avatar: The Last Airbender was an American produced fantasy-drama adventure animated cartoon TV series with Zach Tyler Eisen, Mae Whitman, Jack DeSena, Jessie Flower, Dante Basco, Dee Bradley Baker, Jennie Kwan, and Mako contributing as the primary voice actors.
Avatar was hugely acclaimed and immensely popular during its series run and was widely praised for its characters, art, and themes of peace and war; also winning multiple awards including Annie Awards, Genesis Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award.
It also launched a live action movie, The Last Airbender which was far less critically praised as well as a sequel spin-off series; The Legend of Korra which follows the adventures of Aang's successor to the role of the Avatar several decades after the conclusion to the series.

Season 1[]
In a lost age, there are a gifted few who have discovered the art of "bending" the very elements of earth, water, air, and fire to their will. Over thousands of years; they have evolved their elemental bending with martial arts to become known as Benders and have helped forge the world into four distinct and equal powers: The Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribe, the Air Nomads, and the Fire Nation.
This precarious balance was only maintained via the Avatar: the Human Incarnation of the Spirit of the World. For although Benders can master one element ... only the Avatar can manipulate them ALL. It is a vital and important role, for when one Avatar dies ... another shall be born. And so it was for thousands of years.
Then a hundred years ago ... the Avatar mysteriously vanished.
And the Balance was Lost.
The unrestrained Fire Nation have launched a campaign of worldwide domination and only the Avatar could have stopped them. The Air Nomads have all been slaughtered, the Water Tribes are on the verge of utter defeat, the Earth Kingdom is without a strong leader, and it seems ... all Hope is lost.
Until a young Waterbender Katara and her older brother Sokka discovers a young boy, Aang trapped in an iceberg and free him. They are shocked to discover that he is the sole surviving Airbender who was trapped in a state of suspended animation and sleeping for over a hundred years. But Aang holds an even greater secret and power within him. For he is the reborn Avatar and it is his Destiny to bring peace to the world.
