Overview[]

In the not-so distant future, science and technology has resulted an uncontrolled rise in criminal activity which has evolved in new and unexpected ways. With this unprecedented rise in crime, the police are understaffed and overwhelmed. To combat their lack of manpower, the police have begun a new initiative to supplement human police officers with combat androids. It is a policy that few officers like or approve of.

Particularly Detective John Kennex who lost his leg and his human partner thanks to one of the new combat androids. Upon recovering, he discovers that he will be partnered with a decommissioned android nicknamed "Dorian". But it won't be easy as he struggles to adjust to his new artificial partner whose not quite human and his own new synthetic leg which makes him not completely human himself.

Almost Human was a short-lived American produced crime-drama sci-fi TV series starring Karl Urban and Michael Ealy. The series suffered from low ratings and high production costs leading it to be cancelled fairly quickly. It was also shown out-of-order leading to some discontinuity issues with viewers.
