Adventures in Babysitting is a 1987 American produced family comedy film starring Elisabeth Shue, Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp, and Maia Brewton. It was directed by Chris Columbus in his directoral debut.
All Chris Parker wanted was a quiet romantic night on the town with her boyfriend Mike. Only he cancelled at the last minute because of a family emergency and left her at loose ends. With nothing better to do, she agreed to babysit the neighbor's kids for a few quiet hours ... until her best friend Brenda frantically calls her for a ride after being stranded at a bus station in downtown Chicago.
No problem. She has a car and she can be back in an hour, it'll be like a little field trip with the kids. But this little field trip will turn into one wild and crazy night as she and the others find themselves in one terrifying and unforgettable adventure after the other in the heart of the big city. Whoever said babysitting was easy money never ran with Chris Parker!
