Plot Summary[]
Barry and Dr. Wells devise a plan to have Dr. Light steal his emblem and toss into the breach. They would use a speed dampener the moment Zoom enters the breach. Joe, Cisco, and Caitlin are not on support with the plan. When Dr. Light escapes by messing the fiber optic cables, Barry proposes requesting Linda's help. He reveals his identity to Linda.
Meanwhile, Cisco tries to use his Vibe on Dr. Wells by touching him. He manages to touch him and sees Wells' daughter in a prison cage with Zoom. As Dr. Wells works on the speed dampener, he remembers the day Jesse got abducted at school. Before the operation, the gang have Linda practice using the gloves that imitate Dr. Light powers.
The operation takes place at the docks where Linda and Barry pretend to fight to lure Zoom in. Dr. Wells and Joe are on standby ready to snipe Zoom. However, Zoom never appears.
Later, Iris and Linda drink at Central City Picture News and converse about secrets. As soon as Linda exits the building, Zoom kidnaps her. Barry tries to fight off Zoom. After getting Linda to safety, Barry attempts to fend off Zoom, but Zoom overpowers him, throwing back his thunderbolt. When Dr. Wells fires on Zoom, Zoom takes the speed dampener and Barry's speed dampener and stab Barry. Zoom takes Barry to Central City Picture News and CCPD to show off his victory.
When arriving to S.T.A.R. Labs, before Zoom attempts to kill Barry, Cisco manages to fire a dart at Zoom. Zoom flees. Afterwards, the gang treat Barry. Joe is angry at Dr. Wells for dragging Barry into danger. Cisco exposes what he saw in his Vibe. Dr. Wells confesses he was here to capture Zoom to save his daughter, and he leaves, knowing this is a failure. Once Barry wakes up, he informs Cisco and Caitlin that he can't feel his legs.
