<p>I haven't thought about this, but honestly, I don't really invest in the aesthetics of the Wikia or in Anime Vice, Screened, Giant Bomb, Comic Vine. When folks join the site for just the wiki editing, I remember most of them said it was to help or try out a new hobby. For the ones who stick with it, they stick with wiki editing for a long time mainly because of camaraderie. </p>

<p>If the TV broadcast is mixed up, then try to find if there is a DVD, VHS, or Blu-ray and go by their episode listing. If you can't find it, just ignore it or leave a note. For me, unless I really like a show, I make an attempt and add a note. If it's a obscure, old show that I have no interest, I'm just going to ignore it. </p>

I'm not familiar with TV shows for those letters. I wouldn't expect W to be popular than the ones you mentioned.

<p>This is related to the definition of mainstream. What's mainstream in Japan is not the same as in the west. It's not worth it. Just work on things within your preferences. </p>

<p>RWBY - I see your point on that. Monty did call his work, anime. I still call it anime style. I like to differentiate with origin and style because it's more clear. In this Wikia, you guys used the style and origin and I feel it's confusing especially seeing Samurai Jack with an anime category. I may be biased against Samurai Jack, but I do agree with RWBY being anime. </p><p>Both definitions are correct. When you run a Wikia or a database like MyAnimeList and ANN, you can only use one or the other. With To Hollywood Wikia, your net is wide. I see why you're doing. I personally won't doing that way due to committment. You probably know my views. </p>

<p>I understand your point to appeal to everyone. I didn't want you guys to overstretch yourself and force yourself. That was my point in the last post. </p><p>No, the issue wasn't duplicate entries. Shoot, I lost myself. First it was Korra and Avatar I was concerned because we had folks writing episode summaries and character pages in Screened and Anime Vice. That's more important than a bare, episode guide for a random anime or anime styled show. Because of that, I had to make a hard choice to appeal to my teammates and Mike. </p><p>As for the other anime shows like Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach, I couldn't care less for them. I don't mind you guys had them. In fact, I didn't want to delete those Wikia pages. As you said, there wasn't much to transfer. I didn't see the point of deleting them. You were frustrated that you wanted to add infoboxes or not for them. I didn't see those pages as important because it's not stuff my teammates had invested in their sub pages, episode summaries or whatever. I don't add episode guides in Anime Vice Wikia if there is nothing to connect them to episode summaries. You guys have different goals than us. I'm okay with that. That's why I mentioned I was only after work that had been invested in. Kind of why we transfer the Star Trek episode summaries and other pages in Hollywood Wikia first because it was our best work. </p>

<p>The problem with Mike's condition is that most anime series will have aired. Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, and Kill la Kill - these three aired on Toonami recently. If Mike's condition includes BD and DVD releases (some shows don't air on TV but release an English dub instead), you guys have a wide net. </p><p>This probably another old issue we had. Screened's scope is way broad while Anime Vice's scope was narrow. This causes issues for wiki editors. Screened's editors wanted more anime while Anime Vice wiki editors wanted non Japanese anime style shows. I knew we're going to run into this conflict for our new Wikia sites. </p><p>My priority is aiming towards what my folks have invested time in writing pages. That's how we saved the important work. In your Wikia, you guys focuses more on episode guides than episode and character pages. </p><p>I don't really mind what you guys keep in this Wikia. My only concerns are Anime Vice Wikia and then anime style series, Avatar and Korra, for Hollywood Wikia. I won't do anymore than that for this Wikia. </p>

<p>Anime is pretty diverse here. For Anime Vice Wikia, we only saved pages that had more than a paragraph done. Most of our wiki editors work on non main stream anime. That means Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Sailor Moon won't be cover on Anime Vice because there weren't any significant pages written out more than a paragraph. New Main stream anime such as Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, and Kill la Kill + One-Punch Man that shook the anime community - I have those pages done by my teammates. </p><p>You have to be careful with mainstream. The term changes in the anime industry. The ones you want to keep are the old shows. We don't do old shows in Anime Vice since none of wiki editors invested in writing a page for them. </p><p>As for Korra and Avatar, I already told Mike that both Wikia will cover Anime Styled shows. Anime Vice Wikia has a big base for Avatar/Korra and RWBY. Those are the only Anime Styled shows I'm be focusing. I only focus on what the community express interested in. Samurai Jack and Teen Titan doesn't count as anime style nor does Code Lyoko. They have influences, but folks won't call them anime. Would you call Samurai Jack anime, no. Would you call Korra, anime? Yes and No at the same time. </p>

Oh I miss some pages. I'll delete them. I wasn't sure what we're keeping. I don't delete the pages that have a plot summary or more on it.

The farthest I got was 2 weeks only in AV Wikia. I haven't got that far in this Wikia due conflicts with other sites I'm working at. I feel bad that you had to do this six times.

<p>Sounds like a great idea. </p><p>I get familiar with your ratings. I realized I haven't add a lot of categories to the wiki pages in this community. In AV Wikia, we don't add a lot of categories either. I take an example from you guys. I just never really saw them as a big thing since most of my energy is driven into transferring from Gdocs, hunting down to complete requests, and looking over templates to improve infrastructure in order to make the site friendly to new editors who are overwhelmed by coding. I seen other Wikias with simple category pages and don't invest in a lot of time in them. A Wikia like ours have to use categories since we cover a lot of things. Guess I'm not used to it. </p><p>The search engine in Wikias is limited by keyword. If Wikia communites could search by multiple category pages, then it will be a lot more useful. How I search for pages in this Wikia and AV Wikia is by Google Search. I don't use the search engine in the Wikia because it's clunky. The numbers like years or the punctuation makes it sensitive. I almost made a dupe page in Hollywood Wikia when adding DC animated films. </p>

<p>Lego Wikia's review looks good but it is an awfully a lot of investment in coding. What I'm looking for something simple. I don't want the person who wants to write reviews in the site to worry about coding and templates. What I was looking for was something easy, attaching a blog to a wiki page like how we did in Anime Vice and Screened's old site. A lot of Wikia sites I seen put their reviews in a separate page and then invest a lot of time in coding infracture. </p><p>We could look at that. Given our experiences and man power, it's something to put off. </p>

<p>You actually found sites that incorporates reviews? I had no luck. I was searching the Animanga Wikia and asking around. Most people do blogs for their reviews and don't attach to Wikia pages. I seen elaborate reviews from Fairy Tail Wikia. I was impressed how much their Wikia put in to entertain their folks and at the same time, inform folks about changes in their Wikia. </p><p>Still looking around. I haven't really done much after failed attempts to make a template that does things automatic. Staff suggested blog linking which doesn't really work. I'm at a loss after asking the stafff. </p>

<p>I seen criticisms of the movie rating systems. Not sure if it relates to the Wikia. Guess we should ask ourselves. Would we find these categories useful to find things easier? I have never used rating or language systems. I'm okay with whatever you guys used. I'm not very Cine person. I have to familiar myself and check other TV and Movie oriented Wikia to see what they're doing, wished to do this but cannot do, and not doing. </p>

TV Guide? IMDB and Wikipedia are good enough in my opinion.
